Aurlandsvegen – the “Snow Road”
Aurlandsfjorden
Foto: Finn Loftesnes © Aurland og Lærdal Reiselivslag
The mountain road between Aurland and Lærdal (route 243) is called the “Snow Road” because snow normally lies beside the road throughout the summer. This route is 48 km long, and its highest point is 1306 metres. The views of the Aurlandsfjord are breathtaking.
